Noticeboard

We are very excited that the SWIFT PCN COVID vaccination site will go live in the Knowle West Health Living Centre from Friday 15th January 2021

We know patients are very keen to get their jab but please wait until you are invited to book an appointment by your practice

Please do not phone your practice or come to the Healthy Living Centre as this will delay our booking process – we will be working very hard to get all our patients aged 80 or over jabbed next week!

Thank you to all the SWIFT practices, the Healthy Living Centre , the CSU IT department and NHS property services who have all worked so well together to get the site up and running in such a short time.

If you have a positive COVID test and are struggling with your symptoms, please use the leaflet below for advice on what actions to take:

Community Clinics for lower leg wounds at the Withywood Centre

A weekly community clinic has been set up at the Withywood Centre for people with lower leg wounds.  During the clinics, patients can receive compression therapy or other lower leg treatments, with support from our friendly nurses and volunteers, whilst enjoying a cup of tea and socialising with other people experiencing the same condition. To support the initiative, Bristol Ageing Better has commissioned Age UK Bristol to provide volunteer support and to arrange patient transport.

Patients can attend the clinic instead of their usual weekly appointment at the GP surgery. The clinic is being piloted for 12 months, beginningvApril 2017. It is organised by South Bristol Primary Care Collaborative and supported by Bristol Ageing Better.

The clinics take place every Thursday morning from 09.30am in the Withywood Centre, with more to follow in Knowle at a later date. If you are interested in attending, please contact your GP practice nursing team to find out more.
