The NHS need people who've had coronavirus (COVID-19) to donate blood plasma to potentially help others. Blood plasma is a yellowish liquid that makes up about half your blood volume. After a virus, your plasma contains antibodies that are vital in helping to fight infections, like COVID-19. The NHS are collecting blood plasma for use in scientific research and possible COVID-19 treatments, especially for those who are elderly or have weaker immune systems. Pharmacists

The surgery has a Practice Pharmacist and Prescription Clerk.


The pharmacist and clerk will be dealing with repeat prescription requests and medication queries.



The pharmacist will in the long term run clinics for patients with long-term conditions, such as asthma and COPD.  


The pharmacist role is to support GPs in ensuring patients are taking the most appropriate medication and to ensure patients attend for regular reviews of their long term conditions.


 


Health Visitors

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
